LOVE
(A poem in six parts)
Part I: Intro To Love
As I look back through the years of
time,
there's one question that's on my mind.
People come and people go,
but all a thing called love does is grow.
The question that remains is still,
If love can die and if it ever will.
Love between two that can die,
but love is something that we all must try.
If love was gone then all would hate,
there'd be no marriage, there'd be no dates.
As time continues we must ask our selves,
"Can love be bought with money or wealth?"
For some I believe this is so,
but not for any that I know.
Another question that pops in my head:
"Does love continue when you're dead?
Does it leave like the essence of a sole?
If so, What could fill that hole?"
Part II: Love Test
As people mature there love does too.
Think, How mature is the love in you?
Do you love all or only some?
Come on, no answer's dumb.
While you think examine yourself,
would you love merely for wealth?
Or are you the kind who ventures in the heart and brain,
to see if the love you share is the same?
Are you in it for sex and fun,
or do you think you have found the one?
Are you trying to be with the crowd,
or are you floating on your own love cloud?
Part III: Explanation of Love
Love is a many splendid thing,
It can't be bought like a diamond ring.
Love is real and real is love,
though it is not tangible as the wing of a dove.
Love is not a force to fear,
even if you happen to be a queer.
Part IV: Usage of
Love
As people try to prove love wrong,
Don't hold back just sing a song.
If that doesn't work give 'em a hug,
Go on it won't hurt, ya big 'lug.
Love is natures best remedy,
Whether it's for yourself or somebody.
If your down and feelin' bad,
Just remember the love you've had.
Part V: Loss of Love
It's true, everyone's had a little,
If not you should go to a hospital.
For If you've no love then your sick,
and that's something you must lick.
If you have no love then there's little hope,
You couldn't even be cured by the Pope.
Don't go to a Rabbi or a Nun,
You must project you're love at someone.
Part VI: Conclusion of Love
In my book it doesn't really matter who,
But this might matter to you.
As you near the end of this poem,
Think of the ones you love, I know you know them.
Go ahead shout them out loud,
Shout them out in a large crowd.
Imagine yourselves as softly you kiss,
Your minds travel softly to an abyss.
Will you always be together,
Yes or No,
This is something you'll never know
As you pray for your love to be true
Just remember, It Starts With You.
